Local Tourist Information Centres and Shops

Scarlett Visitor Centre

2 Queen St, Isle of Man – 01624 844432

The woman at the visitor centre is such a nice person, I had a nice time listening to her talking about the Isle of Man. She gave me a brochure about the limekiln, the quarry and the nature trail etc and answered my questions about the birds and even about travelling around the island. She made my day.

My favourite place ever

Isle of Man Airport

Ballasalla, IM9 2AS – 01624 821600

Speedy boarding, great view of the run way in the waiting area, friendly staff. As far as airports go, I always have a good experience here.

Great little airport, suggest getting something to eat in before passing through security in the arrivals area. The small cafe in the departures lounge has limited options. A few more tables or a roller conveyor could be incorporated into the security area layout for ease of use.

The Old House of Keys

Parliament Ln, Castletown IM9 1LA – 01624 648000

Well worth a visit, as a group you can reenact major votes that influenced not only the Isle of Man but also the world

Nice Place It is a nice place too see and find out more about Isle of Man history, but not only. A visit here is less than one hour and the place is close to Castle Rushen.

Balladoole Heritage Site

Isle of Man

This is a great Ancient Monument Site, with a Bronze Age burial a Viking ship burial and a early Christian religious site all set on a hill with fantastic views over the Bay ny Carrickey looking towards Port St Mary.

Amazing walks in a locum area could not recommended it more

Castle Rushen

Castle St, Castletown IM9 1LD – 01624 648000

A Nice Place To Visit We visited Douglas in a small holiday so for one day we went outside of the city to see other places. And Castle Rushen was a very nice stop for a couple of hours. The place is accessible by public transport, not too far from Douglas and not too big, not too small itself. It is a very nice page of history and discovered here nice things about Isle of Man history (and not only).

What a great location. Well worth a visit if you visit the island and have time
